Racial turmoil seems to be simmering again in the US as of late.  I put the blame squarely on the media and the way they slant the stories in a way that will incite the most emotion from their audience.  Add to that, celebrities and civil rights activists jumping on the bandwagon and what you have is a powder keg of hatred, ready to explode. Respect

How do you feel about respect?  When did this basic courtesy seemingly disappear from the once great, United States of America?  It pains me to read news articles lately because the media has taken this lack of respect that is running rampant in our country and made it all about race.  I’m sorry, I know you think it’s all about you, but really it’s not, everyone is suffering from this latest epidemic and I think our shift in values away from families in the US has caused it. Still waiting for the truth in Ferguson

I try to stay out of political firestorms but this one has hit too close to home and gone on way to long. The media is pushing the story that an established Ferguson Police officer, who is white, shot an 18 year old black man for no apparent reason.

Let’s think about this shall we. All police officers know that if they discharge their weapon at all, let alone if they actually shoot someone, a full investigation will ensue. They know if they want to keep their job, the discharge of their weapon must be justified whether or not they actually shoot someone. If they actually shoot someone the scrutiny will be more intense and require more justification, thus most police officers just don’t go around shooting people just for the hell of it.
