I wish I had more exciting news for this update but the sad truth is, my weight is exactly the same as it was this time last week. I’m not very happy right now, I cut my calories, increased my activity and still the scale refuses to budge. I even had a nasty little stomach bug at the beginning of the week which should have been the equivalent of a total body cleanse, but still my weight remains the same. Fans can’t get enough of “Heartless”!
If you’re like me, you love a great murder-mystery and blame it on the snowy weather here in the east, but Jean Marie Stanberry’s newest book “Heartless-A Star is Dead” is racing up the charts in popularity.
When aging movie star Sabine Rousseau is found brutally murdered in her Chicago area home, Doug Bellamy and his partner Chris Salazar are brought in to work the case. Bellamy has long admired Ms. Rousseau, but interviewing her severely damaged family and delving into Sabine’s sordid past leads Bellamy to have a much lower opinion of the revered star.
The investigation soon focuses on Sabine’s youngest daughter, who seems to be the most mentally unstable of her children. Just when Bellamy believes the case can’t get any more bizarre, he finds himself on a frantic journey across the country to save the life of the killer’s next intended victim. But has this flash of insight come to him way too late?
This story will awaken your senses in a way you never knew possible and have you on the edge of your seat till the very end. Available on all major e-readers at a special introductory price till the end of February. Don’t wait till everyone’s talking about it, be one of the first to add this thrilling mystery to your bookshelf!

Over the past year I have been working on making my diet more natural and eliminating processed foods from my diet. I was hoping that this alone would help me to lose weight but being in the throes of peri menopause, well, my metabolism is on strike right now. I knew I needed to exercise more but when you are on your feet all day working as a nurse, the last thing you want to do is go to the gym. Continue reading The Challenge is on!

A Rustic Guest Bath
Having a beautiful guest bathroom is important if you like to entertain. My guest bathroom was out of date and downright embarrassing. The builder of our house was either color blind, or a complete idiot that didn’t know that red floor tile and cobalt blue tile on the vanity looks ridiculous. The bathroom vanity was made of the same poor quality cabinetry that the builder had installed in our kitchen. It was in a bit better condition, but still, it had to go.
